Neoscreative scores a big hit at EAGE, London 2007!

The annual EAGE exhibition that took place at the Excel centre in London in June was a great success for us, as we designed and built 5 of the best stands at the show.

Existing clients Schlumberger and Input Output had the two largest stands, closely followed by two new clients, EMGS and Wavefield Inseis both with brand new designs.

Our fifth stand was for Statoil, for whom we designed a modular stand which was used previously at Adipec and Gastech last year and at a recent event in Cairo. However, the stand was redesigned and upgraded for London.

Having recently floated on the Norwegian stock exchange, EMGS wanted to raise their profile at EAGE and at the same time attract visitors on to the booth to listen to their latest technological developments. A 144 sq m stand was designed to meet EMGS's need for an exciting multifunctional area that encompassed the following aspects:

  • a range of graphical opportunities and applications for theatre, interactive and graphic banner areas in keeping with corporate brand guidelines
  • an area for a magician to work to draw passing visitors on to the stand
  • a striking 3D presence with 'magical' and 'oceanic' qualities in keeping with the use of a magician and EMGS's exploration into seabed logging
  • alternative exhibition solutions, i.e. stand alone installations e.g. in public areas stand element known as a 'Boxpod' could be used. The design also needed to be modular thus in keeping with bigger/smaller stand sizes and shows

Wavefield Inseis decided to upgrade their previous design and to invest in a more dynamic, cutting edge modular design to be used at a series of exhibitions over the next two years.

Clean lines, contemporary feel and materials to reflect the Scandinavian design language were used. A 3 screen video wall was also employed to provide visitors an animated overview of key company services, whilst the hospitality area then allowed further discussions in an informal and relaxed environment.

Commenting on the stand , Toril Leite Jensen, Coordinator, Corporate Marketing says, “The stand design Neos came up with worked really well. Their staff were extremely helpful, always on hand and sorted any problems out immediately. The design and the staff definitely contributed to the success of the stand, and we are all looking forward to working together again at SEG in San Antonio in September”

Statoil’s stand at EAGE measured 60 square metres. Key features included a meeting room, AV and unique design which all helped Statoil stand out from the crowd.

Einar Bergh, Senior advisor Exhibitions, events & visitor programmes, Global Business Services reported “As project manager, I was very pleased with the cooperation between Neoscreative and Statoil, both during the preparations and the show itself. They were flexible in responding to necessary changes along the way and able to deal with delays for internal Statoil reasons. Everyone on the Statoil team was very pleased with the look and functioning of our stand. It was open, neat and attractive and our geo simulator presentations in the “meeting room” were a very good part of the package. Also, those of us doing stand duty were pleased for once to have a comfortably sized and equipped storage room.”
