Verdande, SPE/IADC, March 2009

Verdande Technology is a new software company based in Norway and they chose to launch their services at the SPE/IADC drilling conference that took place in March in Amsterdam. There were a number of obstacles to overcome, namely; brand launch, product/service launch, restricted budget and bad hall location. Neoscreative designed a clean stylish stand, one that embodies a Scandinavian design awareness whilst not alienating the regular oil industry visitor. The key was to focus on the new Verdande Technology brand from within an environment that stood out from the usual dark blue conservative design style that is favoured by the general Energy sector exhibitor.

The use of a predominantly two colour palette, white and metallic purple, extending through all surfaces, i.e. walls, floor and ceiling, helped to consistently brand Verdande and also highlight the suspended globes that hung from the ceiling. The globes subtly portrayed Verdande as the hub in any energy drilling operation, whilst adding a texture and reflection to help grab a visitor’s attention. Graphic were kept to a minimum, key brand and tagline proposition took centre stage and all detailed conversations took place at the two informal presentation areas.

Verdande Technology had a very successful show and generated a great deal of interest.
